We are a family of 5 from the Metro Detroit Area. We have 3 boys, all scouts, who love to camp
Our trailer name is Daisy Rae. She is a 1966 Blazon 16'. It's a great basic camper. Gaucho couch/bed in back with fold down bunk above, front dinette. (2) large closets, refrigerator, propane heat, 3 burner cooktop, a small sink with city water hook-up, and lots of storage space. She has a beautiful amber birch interior that is generally in very good original condition.
The previous owner did a great paint design, replaced all exterior seals around windows, replaced all exterior lenses and added LED's in all exterior lights, and replaced all exterior screws with stainless type. They also added LED strip lighting under the bunk, and over the kitchen counter. New cushion upholstery.
New Tires, re-packed bearings, tested brakes, installed a city water connection and bar faucet, new curtains, replaced screens, roof, replaced icebox with refrigerator, replaced fuse panel with circuit breaker box ,added GFCI receptacles, and added a 5000 btu ClimateRight AC unit that can be easily added and removed as needed, with no visible vents on the inside of the trailer.

This was a great way to upgrade from a tent, but still feel like we are camping and roughing it at least a little. It's fun to pull into a campground with something different, and something that stands out from all the white boxes. I also really enjoy having something that can make use of all my handyman talents (plumbing, electrical, woodworking, auto repair, etc).
Even though it's vintage, it's still 132 years newer than our house that we park it behind.
