Vintage 1957 Westerner travel trailer 15’ over all length with a 12’ box (living area) when measured in the beltline (center) This trailer has been just about completely disassembled just above the steel frame and restored. There is no mold or dry rot in this trailer it is almost all new. It is about as close as you can buy without buying a new trailer everything is new except the frame, part of the floor and the upper aluminum, axle, appliances, and window frames, and of those few items they have been completely disassembled and restored. This trailer is very practical and has everything needed for camping comfort.

I tried my hardest to make this trailer still feel like it is out of 1957 so it has a vintage feel, which means that it has the original style paint job and a all wood veneer interior

        Here is the good:

Weighs less then 2000 pounds. I can tow it with my compact pickup

The trailer sleeps 4 but is realistically set up for 2-3 to be comfortable

The interior is nice and includes:

All wood is new including framing. The walls, roof and cabinets have been redone in oak hardwood done in the same exact style as the original.

New welting done on all seams just like they used to do it

New faucet installed in to original sink that has new drain

All wood has been completely sprayed in new amber Shellac Stain for that rich golden color, Shellac is hypoallergenic and resists staining plus it is some what water proof and It is the same thing that nicer trailers of the era were using

        New Formica brand countertop

Original Icebox was completely disassembled and resprayed in appliance epoxy paint and a new door gasket installed plus the wood liner was replaced with Styrofoam to help keep that ice block cold

Original stove has been completely taken apart and cleaned, it looks great and it works great. As if it was new

Table is all new construction, it matches countertop with its Formica brand laminate, plus the table has the original leg and mounting assembly so it works like a new trailer table

New upholstery through out the trailer which includes the dinette cushions, curtains and bed

New foam for bed in custom sewn cloth cover that is removable for easy cleaning, (well its on order it should be here any time now)

Dinette cushions fold to make a “twin” bed, and were sewn by a professional upholstery shop in So. Cal,

The New Curtains and curtain rods that match upholstery for a truly finished feel

New “city” water hook up with hose that is made to drink out of not garden hose like most “restored” trailers

        New faucet

Original style Wood screen door that has been completely hand fabricated just the way they used to do it, it looks great and the aluminum screen keep out unwanted pests to make camping a pleasure

New Armstrong linoleum flooring that was put down over complete floor before cabinets were bolted down for a completed look and feel plus no unsightly cuts or seems to trap dirt and filth, nor will the edges to come loose as the trailer ages

        Electrical

New 12 volt wiring with modern “flat four” plug for the towing lights that work great,

New “wedding cake” taillight lenses that are identical to the originals but better because they have stainless steel screws so they will never rust so in other words they look great and function just the way that they should

New 110-volt Romex wiring with electrical boxes that up to modern building code standard for a new home

New 110-volt interior lights that have a very retro feel, they look identical to ones I have had on other previous original trailers

New breaker box with 2, 15amp circuits, works great with tons of power for your electrical gadgets to run on

New chocolate plugs, 2 pairs of them

New hard to find METAL housing exterior plug that is set up for a standard style electrical cord

All propane accessories have been replaced and leak tested including:

New propane tanks that are full (the only propane missing out of them was to test stove/oven and Propane gas light), the tanks are the new safety valve style that meet modern code

New twin Propane tank mount that has been welded and custom painted to match trailer

        New propane Regulator

New propane hoses that are set up for the modern propane tanks

New copper propane line that runs to stove and propane light

Propane light has been refurbished and has new mantle nose, felt gasket, mantle and globe

All propane has been leak tested and works great as it should because it is all-new

The body is in nice shape and includes:

New original style exterior Door handle has key but is better then new because the screws are now stainless steel to prevent nasty corrosion.

New interior door handle that work excellent

Almost all the glass has been replaced and what wasn’t replaced was taken out and polished so it works and looks new

The windows frames were completely disassembled sandblasted and painted aluminum color so they look great for years to come, they also have new gaskets to seal them just the way the factory intended them to except that the new gaskets are made of silicon so they wont shrink like the originals so unless there are some new windows somewhere in this style these are as close as you can get to a new window

        New aluminum screens

New lock for side compartment door with two keys

All lower aluminum skin has been replaced with .032 thick, much thicker then original to resist dings and tears

New ultra hard Automotive grade enamel paint that was custom mixed to a yellow color (that the pictures dont do justice in my opinion) and “stark” white

New 15” x 5” old style steel wheels (with the exception they are now tubeless) painted trailer colors for durability and great looks

New Tires (well less then 100 miles, mileage has been put on giving the trailer its “shake down” test)

New Hubcaps that are chrome and look great that match the originals except not rusty and pitted

Cleaned and repacked wheel bearings (I would have replaced them but a 55 year old made in the USA wheel bearing is better then the new “made in China” things that are claimed to be wheel bearings and seals

        New leveling jack on tongue

New tongue Welded on that uses a standard 2’ ball

        New hitch pen lock

Now the bad (and there isn’t much):

There isn’t any real bad issues in this trailer everything is redone but there are a few really minor things that I am not happy with such as…

The sink has a small chip in it that I touched up you have to look to notice it but it is there

The side of the cabinet below the sink got a gouge in it you cant really see it but it is there if your looking for it

As mentioned above I haven’t received the foam for the bed yet but it is coming hopefully in the next few days

There is a few small dings that I am not happy with on some of the original aluminum

this is trailer is a steal! You will not find another one that has been 100% restored, the trailer is ready to go out and be camped in, and it is in nice condition for a good price. I believe if you are into showing the trailer for trophies I seriously think this one would place. Please don’t try to steal this trailer from me it says “or best offer” which means I can work on the price, it doesn’t mean I am going to give it away. I might be able to work on a possible trade for a full size newer diesel pickup plus some cash.

A deposit is non refundable, this isn’t a new trailer so don’t expect a new trailer, which means there are some imperfections that occur with age, such as small dings, I am not trying to lie about its shape nor am I trying to deceive anyone I spent an incredible amount of time and money restoring this little trailer. I am not trying to hide anything if you would like to know anything else please give me a call

If you decide to buy the trailer there is a CD (compact disc) that has all photos of the restoration and it will be included so you know that I am serious about what was done, I am not like some other guys that sell a “restored” trailer that has a fresh coat of paint hiding the water stains

As of posting this trailer this morning it is cleanest trailer on CL
